Can you make 4 cars line up and in a horizontal line on a four lane u.s . express way
you cant exceed the speed limit of 55 mph and and must all end doing a speed limit of 55 mph

all cars start out driving in a vertical line doing the speed of 45 mph with 50 ft between cars, they must end doing a speed of 55 mph

the minnimum speed thay can do is 45 mph and the max they can do is 55 i need to know the exact time each car will act and exactly what the action will be

you must obey the speed limit and THE LAW (COPS) ARE FOLLOWING BEHIND YOU AND INFRONT OF YOU AS TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE FOLLOWING THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT , there is no trafic and all cars are brand new and have the same reaction time , you must be going at least 50 mph in the two left lanes

you must explain any formulas u use and your method of arriving at this answer

stars for all legitimate(reall attempts) answers ten points for the most logical(in my opinion)

The 50 feet "between" must be taken as 50 feet from front bumpers to front bumper as no car length is given. So the front bumper of the 4th car is 200 feet behind the 1st.
The model is the 4th car drives at the maximum speed (55) to catch up with the 1st car in the least time while the 1st car goes the minimum (45). the 2nd & 3rd cars can close up in less time at top speed and slow to 45 when they get there but the final little quibble means cars 2 & 3 should drive at proportional speeds to arrive at the same time or otherwise use a combination of leaving later and driving faster. Many solutions are possible.
Since lane width is not given, the slightly longer distance resulting from changing lanes and time needed will be ignored.
for the 4th car
10 mph is
14.667 feet per second
200 feet distance to close up.
13.634 second
As the 4th car pulls into position all cars accelerate or decelerate to the 50 mph required of the two left lanes.
