This is for a lab I did in my chemistry class where we heated hydrates like Copper Sulfate and Magnesium Sulfate. I found out the amount of joules used in the hydration process for them, but don't know how to convert them to "energy of hydration per mole". 217.4 joules was thr amount for Copper Sulfate.

Atomic weights: Cu=63.5 S=32 O=16 CuSO4=160 H=1 O=16 H2O=18 CuSO4*5H2O=250

217.4J per what? Per gram? One mole CuSO4 = 160g. One mole CuSO4*5H2O = 250g
