I've never cared for the leash method but I do kind of understand the need for it too!! The mental picture of you being leashed and running in circles around your moms legs til she can't walk anymore is actually very funny!! If she puts a leash on you again, just remember to run in circles until she is trapped!! Then maybe she will let you go, if not give her a big kiss and hug and wait til she gives in!! LOL

I see moms put their children on a leash a lot of times. The meaning for the leash is so that you can behave. Another reason is because if you are in a large crowd, you don't want to get lost. That's a bad thing. I don't think your mom will put you back on a leash. I think she finds you more mature and lets you have some privileges. But what can i tell you. I just thinking, but the two reasons are true. Just come true and ask her, it's the best thing to do!

some people think it's cruel but really it's responsible especially with all the weirdos running around at least if your on a childs leash she knows right where you are. i work in a laundromat and wish some of the mothers would put their kids on a leash because those kids are running all over pushing carts into people running out the door into the parking lot. the parents don't pay attention to their kids and they think i'm their built in babysitter.

I saw this kid at the Bronx Zoo with an Elmo leash. I think that's a little weird, like the kid should be "trained" enough to not run away (I'm really making kids sounds like dogs, sorry), but hey, whatever works, right?

I have seen kids on leashes at the mall. It looks wrong. I wouldn't do it if I had kids. Makes me think of those dog walkers in NYC with 6 dogs at the same time. Only instead of dogs its babies.

haha man you're so funny. i can never get enough of you. wait, that didnt come out right....

anyway...um, personally i dont think it was wrong. she did it to keep you from getting lost or hurting yourself (too badly). but um it would look kinda weird walking your 15 year old daughter on a leash. so maybe you should just be more careful and carry alot of bandaids.

I think its a great idea. It keeps the child from straying away from the mom, but allows the child the freedom to walk, and not have to ride in a stroller.
