Tea, generally grown in India, is the dried leaves of the 'Tea' plant.
These are supplied either as 'Tea Bags' or as 'Loose' tea.
Tea bags...Place the tea bag into a cup or a tea bag or teaspoon of loose tea per person into a teapot.
Boil the water and pour over the tea or tea bag(s) and allow to infuse for 3 to 4 minutes. In the cup, stir the infusion and remove the tea bag and squeeze it into the infusion and discard the bag.
In the teapot, leave the tea or tea-bags in the pot and stir.
If milk is required, add the desired amount to the tea in the cup or, if pouring from the pot, add the milk to the empty cup first. Pour the tea from the pot into the cup, add sugar if and as required or, keep it black with no sugar if desired.
If black, lemon or mint tea is required, add the lemon or the mint leaf(s) to the tea in the cup and allow the flavour to infuse into the tea. (The lemon or mint can be added to the teapot if you wish)....enjoy a nice cup of English-style tea...don't forget the crumpet or biscuits.

Always use leaf tea. Drinking tea with soya milk can give a better tasting tea because the natural chemicals in cow's milk can affect the taste.
Also, try blending 1 part green tea to ten parts black tea. That takes the edge off the taste.

Regardless of whether using tea leaves or a tea bag, you would start by exposing the "tea" to hot water. The hot water will extract the alkaloids and other water soluble components of the "tea", and what is left in the hot water is what we refer to as "tea". Drink up and enjoy.

i think you should make reference to how th leaves are processed. the leaves are dried, crushed, packaged and transported before the process of the tea making ( that you are all too aware of) can commence.

you should go back and tell her...
well, you didn't tell us what KIND of tea we're making...
you didn't tell us if we're using tea bags or loose leaf tea.
too many variables.
