im getting induced tues ill be one day away from 4o weeks
They tried this weds but the patocin just did not work and sent me home.Anyways my dr said my cervix is long and thick and im about 1 cm dilated question is ive heard about raseberry tea softening cervix? whats the brand? can you get it in the groccery store i am in vermont so what would i look for what would it say raspeberry tea thats it?

sparki77. I was only 1 cm for my 2nd daughter and the night before they rippened my cervix and pitocin next morning and had her at 12:30am

Oh, boy. Seriously, do NOT let yourself get induced if there is nothing wrong with you or the baby. If you are long & thick and only 1 cm dilated, and you get induced, you are going to wind up with a C section.

41 or 42 weeks is NORMAL for a lot of women. Ask your mom & aunts how long they went -- it's a good way to gauge it. I have a friend who always goes 42 weeks and so do her sisters.

Evening primrose oil and Red raspberry tea MIGHT help soften your cervix. You can get either at a health food store, and you might be able to get them at large grocery stores. You want to check the tea label to make sure that it actually has red raspberry LEAVES in it, not just raspberry flavoring. Look for evening primrose oil with the vitamins. You can take 3 orally throughout the day and also crush one and put it next to your cervix right as you go to bed. Messy, but it can help.

i think the stuff thats supposed to work is Raspberry Leaf Tea .. but i've been drinking the stuff like crazy for the last couple weeks and it hasnt done anything. but good luck =)

you can get it at any herbal store or health food store around or even at walmart.
there are different brands.
and look for raspberry leaf tea.
