Like pretend I was planning to type CRAZY as my username, but I put CRZY, instead. So, when I try again and type C, the first words that I see is CRZY. Is there any way to erase that?

If its in a search bar then when it comes up put your mouse over it so it highlights it and hit delete on the keyboard. If its in your address bar then click tools, delete browsing history, delete files, delete cookies, delete history and your address bar will be cleared. good luck its a pretty simple process.

If you're using Internet Explorer 7:
1) Go to the Tools menu
2) Choose Internet Options
3) Under Browsing History, click the Delete button
4)Click the Delete All button or
5)Click the Delete button under Form Data

In Firefox:
1)Click on Tools on the menu bar
2)Click on Clear Private Data
3) Check off the things you want to clear
4)Click the Clear Private Data Now button

Try simply highlighting the selecion by 'arrowing' down to it and then hit the delete key.

I often clear out my Google search list that way.
