sorry to be blunt but if someone constantly bickers, doesnt that tell you they are unhappy and cant stand you?

I agree with alot of the other comments - I think if someone is contantly be-littling you or bickering he is truely lacking self-confidence and the only way he thinks he can feel better is to make you feel worse.

you may want to be more specific to get a better answer but here what i think. it may be that you bf is insecure about his own intelligence and self worth so he puts you down to make himself seem smarter and better than you. it's not something that can be easily changed and may even take a meutral party to point it out to him for him to make a change. he needs to hear it from someone outside of you two cuz if you say it he will deny it forever and think that you are just being sensitive. also try giving him an ultimatum if it;'s really bothering you. do you really want to go through the rest of your life with a man who picks fights with you?

well i know the feeling. It seems like every time we talk about something he has to debate it. It really frustrates me but sometimes i just brush it off or I'll tell him he might be right, just so he can shut his face up. You know what i think? I think they just want to be the know it alls because they're the man and we're the dumb women from back in the day! NOT! We're smarter then ever guys!

Don't play into it. When he starts up, just drop the subject cold and don't answer. He can't bicker if you don't bicker back. It also really bugs them when you do this - spoils their fun.

It is called having to be in control and right all the time. He feels that he is smarter than you, and no matter what you say he will always be right and you will always be wrong. It will never get any better, only worse.

ha oh my gosh i totally feel for you my boyfriend does the exact same thing everything i have to say he always has to argue no matter what it is it gets sooo annoying. It must just be a guy thing ha

I'm married to Mr. Bitchy too and it drives me nuts. I think it has a lot to do with low self esteem and his own inadequacies.
