Man, im having the same problem here in Vancouver. Screw Shaw for not offering it, seriously.

What im gonna do is this:

Get a friend in a city either in the US or Canada who can get league pass through their local tv provider. Then, using their account information at nba.com, you can watch ALL games on-line with NBA League Pass Broadband. Yes, I know it's not as good as having it on your actual TV, but it will allow you to watch every single game on-line.

There is one, very important catch. DO NOT choose a friend who lives in the area of the team you like to follow most. Because the NBA is selling games through cable and satellite providers, the league will block games based on the provider's location. For example, a New York fan will have Knicks and Nets game blacked out on-line even when traveling to Los Angeles.

Better example: If you like the Raptors and want to watch their games, do NOT get a friend in Toronto to get league pass. This is b/c games that are shown on local TV are not shown on-line (they are blacked-out so people are forced to watch it on their local TV channel, not on-line). So, if you order league pass in Toronto, you cant watch Raptor's games on-line (instead, they are blacked out and you HAVE to watch them on local tv). So, even if you are in Calgary, if you use the account of someone who ordered league pass in Toronto, you won't be able to see any of the Raptors games on-line. If you use the account of someone who ordered league pass in New York, you can't watch any of the Knicks or Nets on-line.

So, the best thing to do is get a friend/family member to order it in an area where you don't care about their basketball team. Then, you can use their account information and watch all games on-line, with the exception of the team in the locality where league pass was ordered.

For me, I'm getting a friend in North Carolina to do it, cuz I could care less about the Charlotte Bobcats (again, I wont be able to watch any of their games, but Ill get every other team).

Anyways, I hope I explained it well.

I think I have NBA TV I'm not 100% sure. I want to get NBA league pass but I'm not paying $169. If they had it just for TV I'd pay for it.

If that service is available in Canada, you will have to pay for it, this service is a pay per view service.
