I work at a McDonald's and I'm probably the oldest one there. (71) Most of the other kids are in their late 20's to their late 50's. I'm treated like a king!

Okay, ask her how she will if in 5 years time when she is 29, someone tells her 23-24 year old women are sexier than 29 year old women? Will she then hate 24 year olds? If she keeps worrying about these things, she will waste her whole life and will look back with regret that she didn't just enjoy herself. Encourage her to maybe seek some counselling for her issues. We have to accept that we all get older and that we can't be teenagers forever.

I'm 41 and I don't feel old around younger folks...if anything, I think they (especially the young ladies) get intimidated being around me because I DO know what's up in today's culture, hip, energetic and it seems as if I am breaking into their "club". Or maybe they feel something more but I am "too old" for them.....go figure?

You are only as old as you allow yourself to feel. As long as you stay young at heart, physical age doesn't matter. Personally, the only thing I think about when I see people 5-10 years younger than me is, Did I act that stupid when I was that age?

No, not really. My teenage daughter who is almost 16 & her friends hang around here. They always ask me to go hang with them for a little while & I always have a fun time with them. I guess I am the cool mom or so my daughter says *blush* :o)

I suppose I sometimes do....but I am 30, and in most situations I am in on a daily basis, I think I *am* the younger person....chronologically, at least.
