Noodles are usually egg based, macaroni is a form of pasta. Pasta(all forms) are made with a different form of flour than noodles and less egg.

Pasta is the generic term which includes macaroni at least. But noodles may or may not be considered pasta. I do, but some think of them as separate.

I call it whatever the manufacturer calls it!
If it's in a cup with salt and dried chicken, it's noodles!
If it's in a box with cheese powder, it's macaroni!
If it's in a plastic bag, it's...
...well, no... not pasta... um... spaghetti!

I think it all comes under the banner heading of "pasta"....unless the noodles are Chinese. Then, they're either noodles or Chinese noodles.
