Theoretically, yes, so long as its within the bounds of the individual citizen's personal liberties outlined in the Bill of Rights and adhere to the federal election regulations outlined in the Constitution.

The "States" can adopt any form of government they see fit. This is only in theory. The reality is that federalism these days simply means the absolute supremacy of Washington D.C. in all local and state matters.

No... this is just ridiculous.

And there are no laws to prevent a change of government... if the government wants a change then the constitution would be amended then amendments are passed in a legislative party. Neither the Democrat party and the Republican want the government to be socialist or communist. Let me repeat: NEITHER PARTY WANTS US TO BE SOCIALIST OR COMMUNIST.

We have had welfare for many generations and some of our taxes are involuntarilly set aside for our social security... and we are still not socialist. Think about that. Think about the other great economic democracies like the UK and Canada and France and Germany... they have even more welfare but they are not in any way socialist. Don't buy into this hysteria.

They are called federal laws. All states must abide by something called ''The Constitution''.

That's a violation of the Constitution and they are not supposed to.
