If his eyes widen in surprise and he says
"Oh MY GOD, YOU LOOK SO WHOLESOME", that, as clearly as the nose on your face,
means that you don't normally look wholesome, and he's not used to you looking that way.
That does not mean that you don't look sexy.
In the case of Gilligan's Island...
"wholesome" vs "worldly"...
I'd pick Mary Ann over Ginger any day.

A bowl of shredded wheat looks pretty wholesome , sexy perhaps not , unless he's thinking apple pie wholesome and then definitely that means sexy . My answer is sexy since he seems to be beating around the bush in not being more direct in his language : )

Wholesome can also mean "Corruptable", and that IS sexy in a warped kinda way. Kinda like Maryanne on Gilligan's Island.
Depending on the guy it comes from, yeah... it can be. In the long run, it's a good thing. Just snicker and think... "if you only knew...." lol
