Personally, I like a 3/4'' marinated in cayenne pepper, white pepper, mustard and garlic juice for a couple of days. Then barbeque it in tin foil with garlic and onions and bacon and mushrooms on top. Then slather with A-1.

Steak! What's that? Seems like I
remember it from way back some time
ago?
Here's a laugh for you...I remember when I said "I WILL NOT PAY MORE THAN $1.00 per LB. FOR ANY MEAT."
And I stuck to my guns (until all that
was left was neck bones). Dear Lord,
remember when those steaks were the same as Barnie Rubble steaks?
Beef just doesn't taste as good to me
as it used to. There's no bone and
no fat. I told the butcher I wanted
5 lbs. of beef fat. He thought I was
nuts and pulled it out of the trim
bucket. Why do you want this? Ans:
Cause I want to make REAL SHORTENING FOR MY PIES, not that
GMO, hydrogenated garbage.

I prefer Tbones myself about 3/4 inch thick, slathered with a product that is available only up here in Canada (I think--since it is a Canadian company). It is called "Montreal Steak Marinade" by Club House, and it makes steak taste so WONDERFUL that I am salivating just thinking about it!

You just rub this stuff in on both sides of your meat, and you grill it to your specifications...mine is medium rare, seared well on the outside.

Marinade it in pressed fresh garlic...nothing more, nothing less.

Then place it on the grill and after it has been seared move it to the side to cook slower until medium rare with just a tad of worcestershire sauce mixed with a smidgen of dijon and a squirt of red wine. YUMMY YUM

My favorite is Filet Mignon--rubbed with garlic and dill weed--always on the barbecue!! Next would be a Tri Tip roast marinated in sweet & sour sauce then put on the barbecue!!!
YUM!!!--We had that tonight!

Wow, these people sure know how to make a great steak. I am a terrible cook. I just take the steak with salt and put it in the frying pan, let it sit, flip it, let it sit and then eat it.

as a former meat cutter I can tell you that marbleing is everything and kosher salt fresh garlic and cracked black pepper is what I used
I suggest everyone try the chuckeye steak
the meatcutters usually keep them for themselves at3.99 to 4.99 apound it is reasonable and is nothing more than a small ribeye
ask your meatcutter and he will respect your knowledge
