For the rest of your life?

My husband says he likes the special memories of me when I was 30.

But, It has always been my philosophy that we should live the age we are.

Just take life as it comes at you.

Do what you have to do and do it to the best of your ability.

You will find happiness as each year goes by.

I'm 72 and I wake up every morning and I can say, "I love life".

I listen to my music, close my eyes and go back and live for a time in my memories.

It's seems I live a lot these days on my memories and I'm thankful that I was careful to build good memories throughout my life. (most of the time)

Thanks so much for the good question and helping me relive some of my good memories.

I used to think that my 35th year was about the best I'd had
so far in life. Now I can't even remember why I said that LOL.
No doubt something was finally going well anyway. Actually
I think I'd like to have 18 back again. But with a few different
goals in mind. However if I were to remain 18 forever, what
would become of my boyfriend, or mate? Would he continue
to grow old? If so, I'd stay young and watch my mate grow old
and die. Or would I too grow old in years, but just keep a
young mind and body? Lots of things to consider. I would want to grow mentally, and feel I've learned more as I've
aged, than I did in school. I have more of an incentive to learn
now, than I did in school also. Well, maybe I should choose
the age of 35 and be safe. Wish I could remember why it was
a 'very good year' tho. Well the doctor did tell me I need to
double up on my Magnesium, since I'm lacking it. And that is
good for ones' memory after all. No wonder I'm forgetful :)
Yeah, 35s' the year I'd choose. When everything worked more
than fine and I could do three times the amount of physical
work in one day than I ever could try to do now. And I'd be
healthy and fit and thin. Ah, those were the days!

When I think of myself, it is as I used to be at around 39 years of age...I was already free of a terribly abusive marriage, and I had exercised and dieted myself into the healthiest shape of my life. I could do anything, and took such pleasure in my body...

I think that would be a wonderful way to spend the rest of my life. (Just to be able to DANCE again---sigh!)

35 came to mind first. I see that some others liked that age, too. 45 comes in a close second.

I agree with slk now that I have 50 behind me 35 does not sound so old. It would be great to go back to it and redo a few things.

I would have liked to hang out at 28 a few years longer....but other than that.....no. Change is necessary......you get bored at any age....even if it's good....after awhile. No....no age to live at forever......each and every age has it's blessing and it's curses. Nothing is perfect. Especially when it's forever.

I love where I am today, and I guess I look forward to the next few years also. Everyday for me gets better. It would be hard to decide a specific age.

I am not sure.....sometimes I think I would never want to stay the same age, because I learn something new every year, that helps make me part of who I am.......but if I had to say one, 40.......

sounds good, a new leaf on life.........kinda like starting anew and fresh.........

40. I was well settled in my place of employment. If I could be 40 again, I'd have more time to save and maybe sell this big house and get something smaller.
