It depends on the way the technology is used. For example, cars. They're good since we no longer have to have everythng clumped togethers. Same goes for trains, planes, and boats. Except the means that these things are powered pollute the atmosphere, regardless of global warming or not. Now things like the so called "anti-matter cannon" can be used in good ways, like getting rid of unnecessary waste. I'm not really sure how the "cannon" works or will work, but that's what I'm saying. A problem, leads to a solution, that leads to a problem, etc. Nothing is without its pros and cons. The bad thing is not the technology itself, but how it is used.
The thing is, people invent the wrong thing. Like guns that use depleted uranium. The uranium has an EXTREMELY LONG half-life. Think of the mutations? If it weren't for the dark ages, greed, and power hungry people, our technology would be extremely advanced.
Medical technology is probably one of the most important out there. New borns would die within days if they got the slightest bug. This type of advancement is priceless.

both
brings pollution and more deadly wars, of course often without the pain that a sword may bring... but also improves communication and make us do things faster. Now making us do things faster isn't really a good thing. Because of this, people do MORE and MORE stuff every day. That's not so bad.. but TOO MUCH STUFF. Way too much stress brought into our lives. Are our lives really better than they were before? Not much.. We're always busy.. everyone.. even some old people. Still working day and night.. We don't really have that much time to spend with family.. I mean what's the point of working every day almost your whole life if you can't spend a peaceful night with your family or go on vacations much at all? Of course, technology also brings more insecurities. People can spy on one another easily, even by their own government. I'm not against technology, I just see things from all sides.. That's enough for now. If I do go on you'll be sleeping 'til tomorrow.

I think it is a good thing to have around. But sometimes people need to get off of the computer or put down there ipod and go running or shoot some hoops. Now a lot of people are obese and they blame it on technology. Technology can be a good thing unless you use it badly.
Hope I helped!

good and bad. Good because its so easy to research stuff, find information, or work from home. Bad because its taking over the world (or already has). Pretty soon books and newspapers will probably be nonexistent. And everything relies on technology. What would happen if one day all the computers and stuff just crashed? Mass hysteria, confusion, end of the world type stuff.

it's so evil! that's an exaggeration, but really. here is why:
as technology advances, it becomes like a wedge being inserted right in the middle of the class system. at first, technology was just luxory, only afforded by the rich, but now it's an important part of everyday life, but still isn't affordable/available to everyone. those who can afford it are moving further above those who can't, those who can't have no way to keep up with those who can.
also, it's evil because my dad doesn't understand it, and i feel really bad for him. every now and then he says things like, 'do you think i should get one of those facepage things?' trying to reference facebook.
good question. i look forward to answers too.

With me being a MIS major, i believe that technology can be a blessing or curse, depends on how you use it!
Use it correctly, and DO NOT get dependant on it, then it's fine.
Rely on it as a 2nd religion or depend on it completely, then it makes society basically dependant, and lost if the system crashes.
