i would prefer the hook to deter the other pirates while i ate the pudding with a spoon held in my other hand... having the hook has improved my use of my remaining hand.

I would think that if there has to be something there than it should be something that is a multi purpose item and the spoon would definitely fit that need!! With the hook you can only spear things with it!! Good idea!!

ROFL. I dunno, its not nearly as fearsome or intimidating as a hook. Captain Spoon sounds more like StarTrek than Pirate. Maybe I'd get a Romulan disruptor put in instead.
