Well buddy calm down take a breath right know it looks like a mess , but it will be fine they will get a manager which the Players will adjust to hopefully and the only thing that might be a different is 3 rookies pitchers Hughes, Kennedy, chamberlain but nothing that will hurt or make me worry there is a lot of leadership and veterans that know what to do

If Yankee ownership (and fans) will accept the fact that nobody wins all the time and that there are another half dozen teams in the AL and a half dozen in the NL that have a realistic shot at the Series title, then there's no reason for worry. There are enough strong AL teams that the Yanks may not even make the playoffs next year, especially if they lose some of their core players. But, regardless of who they lose, they'll be a strong team in '08.
A lot of the Yankees' problems over the Steinbrenner era have come from the fact that George has always thought of himself as a baseball man instead of a money man. If the next generation of Steinbrenners stay out of the way, trust their baseball professionals to build a winning team, and shut up and sign the checks, the Yankees will be one of the best teams in the game on a yearly basis, strong and stable.
I can take a fairly objective view of this because I loathe the Yankees, but I respect the fact that they have resources not available to any other team in MLB.

How and the hell George Steinbrenner raised these two morons is beyond me. These BOYS are going to run this team to the ground. I don't think care about the fans or the team. They just want to line their pockes with the cash. George Steinbrenner needs to make all decisions til he dies, ebveryone else will just f@ck it up. Maybe his daughter can run this team the right way like her dad. I will always be a Yankee fan until the day I die but that doesnt mean I have to put up with the morons now runnng the team. I don't think they payed attention to the way their dad has run this team. He bought the team for like 20 million the team is now worth a billion. They need to realize this team makes mney hand over fist.the money will always be there until they put a bad team on the field. They will lose their tv contracts, low merchandise, sales, low attendance. They need to do the right thing and run the team the way their dad did by putting the most competitive, best team on the fields no matter the cost which is the way the team has been run since Steinbrenner had the Yankees.

Hank and Hal were never slated to run the team. Hank sounds like a complete idiot when talking with the media...or, like a silver spooner who had planned to kick back and cash investment checks. It really appears as if they are going to be frontmen to an old guard that may just have a CBS-styled mentality.
I am very surprised how this transition from Steve Swindal and an ill George Steinbrenner to his sons has completely stumbled & bumbled so soon.

The Yankees always have a better shot then most at winning the series, but that goes without saying. Transition team or not, they have a bigger bankroll then any other team out there--so you better believe their "transition" will be smooth and chock full of Grade-A talent. Also, noone can really make any predictions this early as to what will be happening a year from now. Who here thought the Rockies would be playing October baseball a year ago? Who here saw the Mariners as playoff contenders? The Cubs? In this crazy year of anything goes baseball, I would say that any predicitons would be, at this point, widely unsubtantiated and speculative--without a firm ground to stand on.

Dont worry.....I think Torre will be back. If not in 2008, then in 2009. Remember, the Yankees are going to be trying to fill a new stadium in 2009. What better way to assure that! Especially if any of the team carries out their threats to leave the Yanks without Joe as manager. With all the new talent, Joba, Ian Kennedy, Phil Hughes...the Yanks were the best team in baseball after the all star break. A best of five series with a night besieged by bugs (game 2) shouldn't be enough reason to disband an excellent team. Plus, doesnt it kind of remind you of the late 70's when Steinbrenner fired, hired, refired, rehired Billy Martin ?

The Yankees signed there death warrant when they screwed Joe Torre. There coaches are not in danger in losing there jobs, because those are two of the three that got interviewed. There players are getting old, and they are going to lose alot of key ones because of what happened with Torre. Hank and Hal can lead them if George will let them, but he won't as long as he lives. They can win in 2008, but they are going to have a tough winter.

Oh i'm right here. i don't see what the super ask your self is. almost each twelve months we bypass the two 2-4 or a million-5 against the Mets. The Yankees/Mets video games are plenty greater important to the Mets. i'm nto asserting we purposely lose however the Mets evaluate the Yankees a rival and the Yankees evaluate the Mets in basic terms yet another group. you're actually not likely to win while the different group is plenty greater intense.

They need to hire a manager first and then see about resigning some of their free agents and pursue other free agents. I think it is hard to predict they will win it all next season at this early of a date. Every team goes through good and bad years. That is how it goes. I think Hank and Hal can lead them and hopefully they won't interfere so much in day to day operations like George did. Time will tell.
