the boots are not really dark brown kinda medium and i'd be wearing it with a dress. If you dont think they would what other color combinations of tights/leggings and boots do you think would look good?

no! id say never wear black and brown together. same goes with black and blue. they are just too close in color that they clash. Id say the same color of brown tights. or as close as possible.

If it's not a really dark brown then I think it looks nice. Wear natural/brown or black tights with them. (do you have a link to the boots you've bought, then I will be able to give you my honest opinion!) Apparently the fashion this season is to wear boots over tight dark jeans, so buy some of those , then you can wear pretty much any colour top.

it really depends on the shade of the dress and teh shade of teh boots.
You can buy brown tights in H&M, New Look and River Island...or you could go for skin coloured ones.

Try it all on and you'll see if it goes or not - if it does great - if not get to a store and get some new tights :)

If your dress is brown or green then yes otherwise just stick to all black on top and then the brown boots

Maybe if you could find a taupe color...or a color more matching your boots (or your dress...or both...you didn't mention the color(s) of your dress, so I don't know). But if black's all you got, black's a solid color and you might be able to carry it off. Have a good time, where ever you're going!

wear somthing on top that would match with the boots, like something that has brown and black in it. even just brown on top to match the boots. you can wear black with anything.

YES! I'm so tired of people saying not to wear brown with black, I think the colors work together great. Sounds adorable to me!

it kinda depends on the dress. i'd prefer to wear grey with black, because i'm really anal about black and brown together, to me, it's like, if i wear brown and black i feel missmatched all day, it just doesnt work for me...
