Well, lets see , being from Maine; and heard of people falling off from High cliffs into the Ocean,at Acadia National Park in BAHABA, Maine, I would say that probably the answer is certain death from head trauma , drowning,or a combo of both. There have been a few murders done that way actually that I know of there; but basically happens when people untrained try to climb high cliffs without the right equipment , not paying attention, carelessness... But then again , you have your survivors on that's Incredible, and usually the outcome is not good unless they are very lucky and have an angel on their shoulder!!! Why, you planning a murder?? He HE!! Sorry, I guess I took the question wrong as if they were on a cliff and fell!!

high platform divers pop back up to the surface usually. People like me and I'm guessing you too, would die a very unpleasant and painful death. From 250 feet, hitting water is just like hitting concrete if you don't break the surface tension of the water first. That is why there are bubbles at the entry point of the high platform diver. I don't mean the regular platforms at some swimming pools, I'm mean the ones that are just tiny ledges on a ladder that is going up over 200 feet.

That would most likely be fatal.
However, Chris Miller is completely wrong about terminal velocity. Terminal velocity for a human body is about 125 mph. After falling 38 feet, you're only going about 34 mph. After falling 250 feet, you're still going only about 86 mph. Very bad news, but certainly not terminal velocity.

Depends on how they were falling when they hit the water. it would be just like smacking into a brick wall. Possible broken legs, arms. Just depends. My buddy jumped off an aircraft carrier made a good dive but had a busted lip and had a nasal infection for two weeks.

This depends on how they land. If they can do a perfect dive it's possible to survive. I saw an old Tarzan movie where Jonny Wiesmuller (probably spelt incorrectly) dived off a very high bridge somewhere in America. In real life he was a world champion swimmer and diver and did his own stunts There was no trick photography back then either. He survived without injury.

Water is 80 times dencer than air , so your speed reached from 250 ft would be going on 100 mph, so it WOULD HURT.!!!

I read that falling into water from a great height is just like falling into the ground.

Falling from that height without any restaint would cause your landing to be the equivalant of landing on concrete. So they'd be pretty messed up.

Isn't that the height of the Golden Gate Bridge? I think the chance of survival is 3 in 100 or something like that.

They are crushed by the impact. Water may be liquid, but it has mass, so it requires great force to accelerate it out of the way to let you pass into its depths at the speed you would be going. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, and that reaction force is on the faller.
