Vile though this man and his actions are, no one can seriously suggest the death penalty is appropriate.

Is this a worse crime than a murder, a rape, an assault which actually causes injury to someone who can feel the pain caused?

What about those who stood by and watched and encouraged him? Are they not just as guilty?

Perhaps we should be grateful that instances of behaviour as grotesque as this are so rare that they still make front page news in this country.

Can you see this man ever being able to gain employment again - his name and face are now well known. His punishment will last a lot longer than 3 years.

I do worry when people like John (above) tell us that the 'boys in jail will sort him out'. These are people similar to Anthony Anderson - thieves, men of violence, scum and I struggle to see where their 'moral superiority' comes from. The prisons aren't full of Robin Hoods dispensing harsh but fair justice.

No, three years is not enough for that sort of crime, he could have found something more suitable to put on youtube. Instead he degraded a helpless woman and himself, he should be sent to a poor country and be made to help the poor and starving people, then he can see how funny he thinks it is to live the way those people have to.

i do no longer.... reason being: States tell human beings they could't kill..... yet however the states turn around and kill by way of capital punishment.. it incredibly is being hypocritical.. additionally, in a "functioning, democratic society" how will we placed human beings on demise row, as quickly as all of us be responsive to in some unspecified time interior the destiny an harmless individual is going to be finished??? Now granted that would not take place in many instances, yet my counseled wager is that its has took place. The offender Justice equipment isn't and in no way would be suited...... i do no longer think of it incredibly is suggestions-blowing for human beings to homicide different human beings yet unfortuately it occurs regardless of the justification could be. My suited buddy became murdered and that i nevertheless don't think in capital punishment- somebody else demise won't deliver my buddy lower back. there isn't any justice whilst somebody is murdered. existence in detention center is extra decrease priced besides... demise sentence appeals take a minimal of 7-8 years (or longer counting on the state) to get by way of the courts. by employing the time tax payers pay for court docket expenditures, faxes, criminal expert expenditures, paralegals, and so forth, its lots extra decrease priced to enable killers rot in a cellular.....

I think this guy is in big trouble, When the prisoners in the jail he is going into find out why he is there. I can see him going for a swim in boiling water before long. Guy's in prison don't tolerate people who have stepped over the line regards women or children. Wouldn't want to be him for an MP's Salary.

It is difficult to see how even a long jail sentence is going to deal with the problem of this man. He is clearly suffering from a personality disorder and if it cannot be treated the public should be protected from him. Unfortunately he is clearly not criminally insane as for this you must not be able to understand that your actions are wrong or you don't know what you are doing and he clearly did

We as a society cannot hand out the death penalty for crimes such as this because it doesn't help anything. That the man chose to urinate on someone so he could create "YouTube material," says that our society as a whole has a problem feeling compassion and empathy toward others. If we kill him than we need to kill those responsible for teaching him that this kind of behavior has a place in society. Not to mention those that would watch and enjoy something like this.

I don't feel that this is a capital punishment offense. But...what a horrible act to commit on a disabled or any person! I think caning or whipping is in order or placing the guy in stocks and letting people throw garbage, feces and urine on him. There is a special place in hell for people like this and I hope he burns for eternity!

Well, I don't think he should get killed for it, if that's what you're asking. Although if that was my Mom laying there, well.....
But 3 years, I'm not sure, will he learn from that or just come out a bigger idiot than when he entered?
