A short intro: I hope to be a valued contributer here in the hockey section. I love the Blackhawks.

Here we have two teams who are in need of guidance. The Leafs are experienced, while the Thrashers are young. The Leafs have veterans who are playoff tested, while the Thrashers are a little green. If you were a first time coach, which team would you lead?

Thrashers

The last person I would want to work for would Be JFJ and/or Richard Peddie

I'd have to say the Thrashers because you wouldn't get the media scrutiny, I'd prefer Waddell as the GM-I think John Ferguson Jr. is not a good GM at all, The Leafs future is bleak and while the Thrashers is too, there is nowhere to go but uphill for them at least in the immediate future.
I also don't like Toronto's management structure and quite frankly I am not a big fan of Ontario and hey, I like to golf. Pat Quinn left the team in shambles by always trading prospects and draft picks for rental players and JF jr. has made poor signings and traded draft picks for rentals-it really is a viscous circle.

Thrashers

I like a challenge and having a young team can bring very rewarding results. Yes the Maple leafs are more tested, but that means there is more expectation from that team than the other team. So logically speaking, a young team does well with you at the helm there is more praise than if the other team does poorly.

I think the Thrashers especially if this is my first coaching job. There is less pressure in Atlanta and they have a good young team to build around. They've tasted the postseason and need a coach to drive them back to that.

ill go down to the atl. only going to be there for couple years at most unless somehow get fans into the building. then off to vegas for year or two and then on into canada ( where the team should be anyway) so if i can last 5 seasons i would be a well traveled man by then. and for next 3 years no real pressure to win so be cush

I'm a Leafs fan so I gotta go with the Leafs. Somehow, I don't think living in Atlanta summers will make me a happy camper.

Leafs over thrashers.. first, they are my favourite team, 2 i would actually sit with the GM (not to say that Maurice doesn't) & c where to go & what to do & then decide what is better myself, 3 they are my favourite team!!

Go Leafs Go!

did i say they are my favourite team?

Leafs...I believe they have some good potential young players playing for the marlies right now.

I am also somewhat bias because I happen to be a Leafs fan.

I would never work under the regime of JFJ, so that leaves the Thrashers.

Leafs. I grew up hoping to play for them. The Trashers doesn't interest me in the least. A loser team, full of loser players that will move before the start of the 2010 season.
