Here's what Romney said:

"Actually, just look at what Osam — Barack Obama — said just yesterday. Barack Obama, calling on radicals, jihadists of all different types, to come together in Iraq. That is the battlefield. ... It's almost as if the Democratic contenders for president are living in fantasyland. Their idea for jihad is to retreat, and their idea for the economy is to also retreat. And in my view, both efforts are wrongheaded."

Do you think this was really an accident, or just staged to look like an accident?

Second question - if it was an accident, does it make you think that Romney is an idiot? If it wasn't an accident, what does this make you think of Romney's character?

I think it might be an "accident", but very doubtful.

Of course... when I think of Mit Romney I keep mixing up "Mormon" and "moron" so who knows....

i do not see everywhere the position it ought to remotely be deduced that Romney is "so jealous that Obama took down bin encumbered." it may be because i do not see issues in a countless truth, as you do. ~Queen Nancy Pelosi

don't really care , but no he didn't confuse it he started out with the Jr senator and then corrected it to obama then osama ,

it was a way to get more press and he messed it up. lol

he just wanted to say obama then correct it to osama

the part he messed up was saying Jr senator,

it showed it was rehearsed. but so is the rest of the press conferences they are trying to pass off as debates

I think it was staged. As if those political show ponies don't spend hours with a PR coach learning how to say what and when to say it.

Of course it was on purpose. It probably is stuck in many people's minds at this point. It is the nefarious use of psychology that many candidates use.

I think it was an accident. However, I have thought from the start that Obama's name would keep him from ever being taken seriously.
Is he even a Christian? I've never heard it discussed aside to say he went to an elementery school that honors terrorists!

Yes it was on purpose.

Mitt is too smart to make that kind of gaff on accident.

Doesn't really change my opinion of him anyway and I have no intention of voting for him.

I think it was funny. Osama/Obama... six of one and half dozen of the other.
