As you know the concept of the game "Marco Polo" is to have one player blind folded or with their eyes closed, while they try to find the other players.

Marco Polo was a Venetian explorer in the late 1200s to early 1300s, who's travels to China, India and other parts of Asia helped introduce the "Mysterious Orient" to Western Europe.

Legend says that Marco Polo didn't know where he was going when he first set out on his travels - hence the games name.

He died six centuries before kids realized that his short snappy name would be good for yelling out during a game.
