The pill is 97% effective if taken daily at the same time every day. If you're in tune with your body and maybe avoid sex when you're ovulating then it should raise you up to 99%- since you've been on it for 4 years, your body is pretty intune with the system it has, the chances of an egg dropping are highly unlikely, but I'd still recommend pulling out at the end, because there's nothing worse than having to say, "Hmmm, better feeling sex, OR unwanted pregnancy...." My husband hates wearing them too. But that's how we got our 2 kids, so he'll wear it now weather he likes it or not!

I applaud you for being so safe with your boyfriend, well done, its examples like that , that need to be shown more often to young people. It is safe seing as you are on the pill to have sex without a condom, i was on the pill for a year and a bit and didn't use one condom the whole time (i've only ever been with my boyfriend), and i was safe from pregnancy. Go for it if you want to see what its like, if you are not comfortable though, do not feel pressured and discuss it with your boyfriend, he should understand.

the pill has a very high protection of pregnancy rate, but there are times when it may not prove effective, when you are ill it can not be as effective, there are plenty of different condoms around different thicknesses, sensations, fits and novelty ones all of which good for lots of fun without extra worries i would stay as you are if you feel you are not ready for pregnancy and children and possibly a std or disease which may stop you conceiving when you ARE ready for children maybe with someone else!!

When i first went on the pill I asked my doctor if withdrawl was needed along with the pill, and she said no. My boyfriend have been having sex for 7 months with that method and no signs of pregnancy.

And he is disease free and doesnt sleep around? If so, and you are on the pill, then fine not to use them and you both will enjoy sex more, you will like the feel of his semen in your vagina and sex can be more spontaneous. Go for it girl

It should be fine if you're on the pill and haven't experienced any problems.
Just to be safe, you can have him pull out before he cums, and you can finish him up with a hand job or bl*w job or something, until you get used to sex without a condom.

It will be okay pregnancy-wise. Are you sure he's disease free? Are you? You don't want to pass around an STD, so it's a good time to check.

we went on contraceptives in order to come off condoms. you dont 'need' both. yes you are more protected with both but the chance of pregnancy is very small. especially since you have been taking them for so long
