why do many people say that it's bad? IT IS A GOOD THING! first of all, it gets your penis bigger! also, it gives you less chance of infection, way less chance since all that foreskin wil be gone. and for sex, it gives alot better feeling since the head is very sensitive and without circumcision, the foreskin will be covering your head, keeping you from getting that extra feeling. if anyone has any other ideas for or against, please do so.

I have a husband & 3 sons. They NEVER had a problem with infections. If you clean it right, by pulling back the foreskin...you won't have a problem.

A circumcised penis does not get bigger when the foreskin is amputated -- you are removing part of the penis, so it's actually a bit smaller. Duh.

It has been absolutely proven that cut penises are less sensitive. And surveys show that women who have been with both cut and uncut men say the sexual act is more enjoyable with guys whose penises are intact. I've never understood why some people think natural penises don't look as nice -- the sad scar from circumcision looks really pathetic.

When an intact penis is erect, the glans is exposed. (The foreskin rolls back.) The glans on an uncircumcised penis doesn't have the keratinized layer of scar-like tissue which further cuts down on pleasure. The foreskin is not in the way during intercourse, and the protection it gives the glans means that the glans remains sensitive.

You were obviously cut as an infant, and I appreciate your attempts to make yourself feel good about your condition, but the fact is that a natural penis just plain works better than a cut one. I'm sorry for you -- it wasn't your fault that your parents didn't research the effects of circumcision and believed all the lies they were told about the procedure. Making lemonade out of life's lemons is admirable. But it's not nice to try to convince other people to scar their sons the way you were scarred.

Oh dear, you believe a lot of myths. It makes NO change to the size of your penis, in fact it removes skin, so you lose girth!
It has never been significantly proven to lower your chance of infection especially not if you have good hygiene habits.
Evidently you have no idea about how the foreskin works but for most people the foreskin is incredibly sensitive. People seem to think it blocks pleasure to the head but they forget that it is sensitive itself and feels nice when touched and most guys say how much they like the feeling of it sliding over the head. Yeah the head isn't always covered either it's usually exposed for sex but because it's covered up the rest of the time, it's more sensitive.
It's not a nasty numb thing covering the head, it's a bunch of sensitive pleasurably skin that slides up and down! Studies show it's good for the woman too.

If it were such a good thing, it wouldn't be getting less popular. During sex and masturbation, the foreskin does not cover the head; it slides up and down, allowing it to rub the head. And since it's already lubricated on the inside (it's like your eyelids) it feels really good. That's the gliding mechanism:
http://www.cirp.org/pages/anat/

If it made it bigger, all guys would get circumcised. Just look how many guys are shy about their size. Cutting off parts of your penis doesn't make it bigger. In fact, one risk is that your erection can end up restricted (thus smaller) if too much is removed. Here, two doctors, one a pediatrician and another an urologist, describe that:
http://drgreene.org/body.cfm?id=21&action=detail&ref=1125
http://www.altermd.com/Penis%20and%20Scrotal%20Surgery/buried_penis.htm

Circumcision does have negative side effects. For example, one study found that it drastically reduces sensitivity (1), another found that it makes masturbation more difficult (2), but after all, that's how it was popularized in the USA to fight against masturbation (3), and another found higher erectile dysfunction rates (4).

4. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=14979200&dopt=Abstract%7C

Those are just a few of the reasons why circumcision has lost popularity. The USA is the last developed nation doing it without religious or health reasons, and even our rates have gone down from 90% back in the 60s and 70s to as low as 14% in some states now. You can read more on circumcision here, and you can also read that providing you take 5 / 10 seconds to pull back the foreskin and rub the head (which feels good) it'll stay clean and won't get any infections (if you did; Europe and Japan would have a crisis since they don't circumcise):

Did you even pass first grade???

If I cut a piece of paper in half what does it do???
It makes it smaller, so if I cut one inch of foreskin off it gets... SMALLER

Less chance of infection?
You have a higher chance of getting infection but when you have the infection the symptoms are very low and most of the time not even knowing so you can spread it around to lot's of other beautiful woman.

Good for sex?
Circumcised sex
Positives
- You have feeling on the way in and out
- Some woman like it
Negatives
- You push harder because of the head being desensitized
- Feeling not as good
- Hard to get orgasm for both partners
- Masturbation can get sore for men who have had tight circumcision

Uncircumcised sex
Positives
- Don't have to push as hard
- Easy for woman to know if you have cleaned it
- Woman have orgasms easier
- Not having to use lubricant
- Masturbation can feel more like real sex
Negatives
- Can feel like masturbating

The circumcised head is very sensitive???
When you have a band aid on and you pull it off the skin is sensitive underneath. That’s why it hurts. Having your penis rubbing in your underwear all day, you think makes it more sensitive. Rather then having a nice fold of skin keeping the head moist and extra soft.

I don't know where you got this wacky information from. Please can you tell me where you got this bull **** information from? What web site???

Why would having skin removed make your penis bigger? wouldn't that make it smaller?
Why does being cut give you less chance of infection? us uncut guys have heard of soap you know.
And in case you didn't know, the foreskin moves back off the head of the penis in most uncut guys when hard do we can feel the head and because it isn't rubbing all the time on our clothes it is more sensitive as well.

Actually regarding sensation..

if you've ever seen an erect, uncircumcised penis you would realize that the head IS exposed and actually looks like a circumcised penis,

just "longer" because there is more skin and therefore more room to grow.

also the extra skin allows for natural rubbing and gliding lubrication so it's more comfortable for the woman.

Personally if I had a choice I would say all men should have uncut willies because I think they are much much much sexier. they seem more "manly" and no where near as silly looking as these scrawny, naked, leaning-to-the side scarred up ones that seem so popular in the united states.

well at least to seem popular.

in the 1950s and 60s about 90% of the male population in the US was circumcised...

today maybe 44% of newborn boys are circumcised, and those numbers are rapidly dropping (when my son was born last year the number was 50%)

so maybe one day there will be no silly looking cut up willies anymore.

How do you know if it is good or bad unless you were just circumcised . I have patients that have said sex was better before being circumcised because there are more nerves in the foreskin thus you have more sensation . As far as being more hygienic that depends on the individuals personal hygiene habits. Being circumcised doesn't make your penis bigger ,you really need to do some research on the matter .

Basically everything you said is wrong, the foreskin is not just extra skin, it's not a defect just like your eyelid is not a defect, I'm actually freaked out that Americans would rather cut a part of the penis then wash it. I'm not gonna even comment on appearance because cosmetic surgery on babies should be illegal.

It's bad because it removes the choice of the owner. It should be your choice since it isn't something that you truly need. Plenty of men grow up with foreskin and are perfectly happy and fine with it. That said why bother removing it?
