I want to keep the car original and i want to get original GM keys. I don't want to replace the ignition and locks but if it comes to i will. I don't want to hire a locksmith because it seems to expensive. It might come out costing the same.

If you are in the UK. contact Old Car World in Perivale W.London ( totaly GM Parts dealers) and give then the Chassis number. They will sell you a set of UNCUT keys and if you take them + the original ones to a locksmith, they will be exact duplicates as your original ones. If you want OCW phone number, send me an Email and I will give it to you.

Dealers don't have keys to cars that old. You're gonna have to go the locksmith route.

You may have put the head gaskets upside down causing it to cover some cooling passages causing it to over heat. or the distributor may have been stabbed wrong. It maybe off by a tooth a two causing the timing to be out.
