Probably less, since they don't have a reminder on TV. Besides, there's been a huge push against smoking for many years now. It always surprises me to see that young kids still start smoking, anyway. I don't think it makes so much difference with drinking. It didn't stop anyone I know.

We still see the drinking ads in the USA, they just suggest you do it responsibly. I don't think the lack of advertisement has slowed people down, there are still many who start smoking/drinking at a young age.

It seems like everybody is smoking these days. I don't know about drinking since I don't go into bars but I would guess, If someone wants to drink or smoke, there's a lot of it around. They don't have to look at television to see people drink and smoke.

Only smoking ads are banned here. But it is made up for in the movies. I think that the addictions are getting worse, as children are doing it now. When I grew up, this didn't happen.

No. I think there are not very many people that smoke or drink because of the habits of television characters. Drinking is a social thing and television is not.

Probably not. Do you think not being able to smoke in bars and not being able to take your drink outside to smoke will affect it?
