Well, I know I'm almost there, but the last couple of days I've been feeling some cramping in my lower abdomen which doesnt last long but is quite painful while it's there. Also feels like the babys using my cervix as a punching bag, is this normal for how far along I am? I've also been getting a few dizzy and sick feelings, which I didn't experience at all through my pregnancy. Thank you:)

Also, is a severe pulled muscle feeling in your upper inner thighs normal?

As a nurse, I can't tell you how critical it is to call your OB and if you don't have an OB, just the health department, you MUST get to a hospital ASAP. You and that baby need to get on a monitor immediately and you also need an internal exam to find out if your cervix is effaced and/or dilating.

As with all pregnancy issues, everyone is different but I am not to far behind you and the punching bag thing right there with you... The cramping if it gets worse or persists I would contact your doctor, but what you are describing sounds like the baby is just getting down into position. I was getting lower abdominal cramps and pains that scared me but when I called the Doctor they said as long as they dont last that long and are not consistent they are normal and its just the stretching and moving of the baby dropping into position! GOOD LUCK!

the cramping could be braxton hicks, contractions normally happen at the top of your bump. As long as you can feel our baby move a good few times through out the day, then the baby should be fine. If you do have any concerns, just phone the hospital and say you think you are in labour and its your first, that way they will take you in, examine you and check all is ok, if your not in labour they will send you home. But at 38 weeks the baby will be fine if born now as it will still be classed as full term. Good luck as you may already be in labour!!

I would suggest you keep your bag ready, its more than likely that the head is crowned, and the cervix is preparing for dialation. You may also experience pains running down your legs or in back. Not all labours involve a 'show' or abdominal cramps. Enjoy your baby when he or she is here... Good luck :-)

It sounds like your just getting closer to the big day. I went through similar pains when I had my baby 2 months ago. Best of luck to you. It is truly a blessing. Just remember if you feel unsure about these symptoms contact your doctor for any reassurance.

dont listen to bunny, dont abort, cuz youve been through 2 much to abort now. This is normal actually. But youve got it good. some people start throwing up at every thing they so little as SMELL!! By the first month too!!
I don't know try sleeping mor often so you wont have to be awake as much to feel the pain. If your doctor says you can, try taking pain pills, tylenol, advil, or even midol, even though midol is for periods but still, yeah.

It sounds like you are getting close. Those cramps could very well be irregular contractions. Pains and punches to the cervix are normal as well. I have them now and did with my others.
