I wish .... I am a builder and I sell computers for profit ...
Microsoft Operating System costs 90 - 120 dollars and is the biggest rip-off of the entire system.
I can build a 300 dollar computer that is pretty good but because microsoft is greedy ... they charge insane amounts for it and its illegal ( and impossible without hacking ) to use it on multiple computers

Not unless you have a corporate version. I bought Vista Ultimate Retail on Ebay for $200 and put the 64bit on my gaming rig and wanted to buy a key to use the 32bit disc on another machine and they wanted $349 just for the key! I build sell and repair puters and always buy the operating systems on Ebay because theyre a lot cheaper than any online retailer. As long as you buy it from someone with stellar feedback that sells a lot of OSs it ok. Just make sure its sealed and isn't "Just opened to look at but never installed" or something like that.

You could do that with Windows XP but you would need to buy a new license for every computer you install it on.
So i suggest you turn to Open Source OS like Ubuntu, which is very easy to beginers :

I believe Windows Vista Ultimate, Retail edition allows you to do that, however that costs an arm and a leg, what you are better off doing is buying the OEM edition for as many computers as you need

Aside from Linux, MacOS versions are available in family packs, at a much lower cost per license than a single copy.
