How do I decide which type of memory to buy for my computer? It is a Compaq SR2010NX with an AMD Sempron 3400+ processor. It is really starting to slow as I add new applications.

Depends on the motherboard...but with yours in particular...DDR2 RAM (1 GB should do it) would be the best for it's price....fairly cheap and good performance. You don't need anything more unless you have Vista or your gaming.
