It's very very real, as real as Cancer or Diabetes.

BPD stands for Borderline Personality Disorder. Look it up if you want more info.

(people do not throw away their lives for fun, you know. Mental illness can be devastating to a person's life...and can reduce it to nothing. I've lived it, i've seen it.)

I absolutely believe that no one can will away mental illness. It's like telling a crippled person in a wheelchair to just get up and walk. People think it's less of a big deal because there are no visible physical symptoms, but mental illness is just as real as physical illness.

No, theres 2 types. One is a learned way of thinking and behavior, the other I believe is demonic possession,"Willing it ir wishing it away" wont work. One form takes a change in the way one thinks and behaves before their feelings change, the other needs GOD'S intervention.I dont know what BPD stands for never heard of it.
Guess I will HAVE to look it up to find out.

Yes, of ourse it is real, and it stands for bipolar. A close friend of mine was diagnosed with it.

Cancer and broken legs also cannot be willed away. It's a medical issue, not a mood or whim.
