Once I brought camping the Queen size mattress and a ladder and everything else in the trailer..... the mattress was very heavy so I didn't tie it down, as I am driving back home and as I looked in the rear view mirror I saw the mattress take flight and just miss the car that got out of the way in time, and the ladder almost took off.... what a rush, had to go back and find the mattress so we can sleep at night.

When I travel overnight anywhere, I always feel as if I am packing the bare minimum yet my husband or whomever I am traveling with always say I am taking the entire house. I don't understand it as I think I am packing "light". :o)

If I haven't been to where I'm going before, I pack a variety of things. Like when I went to London last year. I had never been there before so I didn't know what to expect weather wise. I like to be prepared so I'll pack a little of everything.

I always start out with the best intentions to travel light, but usually end up packing way more than I need - but always manage to leave out one thing that I really do need (i.e. toothbrush, etc.)

Evelyn. I have daughters.
Which of course means, I have a duffel bag.
However, they have an entire array of luggage, side bags, carry on's, Ipods, dvd players, lap tops, movies, and a small kitchen sink.

i generally travel light...it's too much of a pain to drag all that junk through the airports anyway!
