A = (1/2) ( h ) (a + b)
50176 = (1/2) (16) (20 + b)
6272 = 20 + b
b = 6252 m

Base on my understanding trapeziod should have pararel bases. Therefore the formula for the area should be:-
Area of the square ib the middle:16 * 20 = 320;
Area of 1 of the triangle: 1/2 * 16 * x = 8x
Area of another triangle: 1/2 * 16 * y = 8y
The length of the other base should be 20 + x + y
Therefore:
Add up the square and the 2 triangles should be 50176
320 + 8x + 8y = 50176
Minus the equation by 320
8(x + y) = (50176 - 320)
Divide the equation by 8
x + y = 49856/8 = 6232
Hence the other base should be
20 + 6232 = 6252

OK

Area of a trapezoid = (a+b)h /2, so...

50176 = (20 + b)16 / 2
50176 = 160 + 8b
50016 = 8b
6252 = b

Let's check

50176 = (20 + 6252) 16 /2 ??
50176 = (6272)* 8 ??
50176 = 50176 YES!!

Hope this helps.
