These colours don't sound right, standard UK phone cable consists of 3 twisted pairs of wires Blue & blue and white, Orange & orange and white, Brown & brown and white, Green & green and white.
BT engineers will normally use the 2 blue cables as your phone line, in a BT master socket the incoming cable will connect to A and B with the 2 blues then any cable leaving the socket will connect to 2 and 5 again useing the 2 blues. If terminals A and B are not there then connect incoming and outgoing to 2 and 5
you can also connect what is called the earth recall normally orange this connects to terminal 4 and allows you to transfere calls to another number via the "recall" button. You do not need the earth recall to make the phone work it is optional

The colours make no sense as either old or new telephone cable, or even alarm cable!! The cores will need to be tested or traced out! Sorry..........

Bung them into nos. 2, 3 and 5. and the two incoming from the telephone pole to A and B terminal. Colours don't matter as long as each one corrosponds at each outlet.
