Well, 20th Century liberals would be Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson. Some who are called liberals were less liberal than some think. To an uber conservative anyone slightly to their left, although a more mainstream conservative, would be a Marxist or bleeding heart liberal. Be careful not to be trapped by the extremists they want to take you off the deep end. Those I have named will fit the category of the last 100 years.
