My friend have 4 RES turtles, 2 female and 2 male. So i asked for 1 male and 1 female. Right now i'm getting ready for it, and i'm just wondering where i should put the fish tank. Near the sunlight? or Out of the sunlight? And i'm not sure what size of tank to get, and i don't really won't the top is open cuz i have a cat. And also the type of filter and heat lamp i need for them?
And any other suggestions would be REALLY appreciated. :D

You should do half sunlight and half no sunlight. You want to keep the cat out of some place where it is safe. Close the door btw.

You will need a big tank biggest you can get. The rule is for every inch of shell 10 inches of water. So 4 inch turtle would need a 40 g tank or bigger.
I would put it away from the sunlight due to algae growth.
You should get a filter bigger then what the tank is because they are dirty..and you will need a heat light and a UVB light for them you can get both at the pet store.

It really depends on how big they are. You need 10 gallons for every inch of turtle you have. If each turtle is about 5 inches you will need a 100 gallon tank. 2x5=10, 10x10=100. You will need even a bigger tank when they get bigger. Each turtle will end up being 12 inches in diameter when fully grown. You should keep the tank out of direct sunlight. Good Luck!
