No because a pill controls your hormones and hormones effect how you feel both physically and emotionally.

It really depends on you. Some girls don't experience any side-effects, while others do...it's also a trial-and-error thing. If you try one pill and it isn't for you, try a different brand. I've tried at least 3 brands already, and I am currently satisfied with the birth control pill Tricyclen.

You can also try an IUD. (http://www.fwhc.org/birth-control/iudinfo.htm) They're, apparently, just as effective as the pill. However, if you're using the pill to also help with period cramps, an IUD isn't recommended. Some women experience heavy, longer, and/or more painful periods while using an IUD.

Hope this helps. :)

I have had luck with Marvelon 28. My periods are much lighter, last only 3 days at the most and I rarely get cramps anymore. My periods used to be horrible, even while on other pills but after being on this one for about 7 months now, I really notice a difference with the way I feel physically. I still get emotional and really moody but at least the physical side isn't that bad anymore.

I use nuvaring for about 10 mo now, and i have never had any unwanted emotional or physical side-effects. You leave it in for 3 wks take it out and have your period or leave it in for 4 wks and skip your period altogether. Of course it is different for every person.

unfortunately there's no bc pill that has no side effects, but i'm on Junell and it's really fabulous. i'm usually a very nice girl but Seasonale made me really want to stab someone and Yaz almost made me drive off a cliff, it was so terrible. i know what you mean, most pills out there drive you crazy!
try Junell, if anything, though, it's wonderful.
almost half a year and no nasty side effects yet! :D
good luck <3

Yes, though it is not a pill. The Nuva Ring is great, I love it. All you do is insert and leave in for 3 wks., and then take out for a week, you will then be on your period. Don't worry, you cannot feel it during the day or during sex. No side effects.

not a pill but an IUD works even better, no more forgetting especially on a getaway weekend or vacation, not to mention lighter flow after a few months
