There is no way to understand all the implications of a decision. That is why things, like 'etiquette', 'manners', and proper actions are always at the forefront.
Guessing a reaction that another would have based on their experience and feelings, beliefs, would be like throwing a bag of marbles off the top of a building and predicting where each will come to a stop.
