my decision would be that at birth, everyone has to get some kind of pregnancy preventing device that stays in place until you are old enough (lets say 18, i know some mature 18-year-olds) you can APPLY to have children.
there would be a stupidity test, a drug test (the one that goes back for YEARS with your hairs and stuff), test to see if you and the person you are with have the same gene that causes genetic defects, and many more standards that you have to pass.
these would be regulated and voted on by the public NOT THE GOVERNMENT.

If I did:
1. Banish all nuclear weapons ( except the USA of course)
2. Do away with illegal immigration
3. Stricter screening for welfare recipients
4. More tax breaks for the lower and middle class, (equal benefits)
5. More severe penalties for child abuse, Redo the rules and guidelines, hire more workers, pay them more.
6. pay less to athletes, more to teachers, police and community employees
7. Lower healthcare rates.
8. Raise Social Security Benefits
9. Build more prisons
10. Print more money to pay for all my changes!

Basically we are given that decision at the age of 18.
It’s the most anyone can do, but only about 1% of the population choose to.

this is a good question!! if was in my power i would make it that any major decision that the goverment made had to go to a vote by the british (and i mean the british) people,

I'm English and I would stop the over population of my country by banning any new foreign people coming in-ever again. We just don't have enough space for them all!

I'm going for something trivial. I'd have the entire UK towed south toward the Equator, so it would be nice and sunny most of the time.

We will begin to mandate cars be zero emmision on a truncated time table. California did it for a few years until the car companies finally fought them off, after they started selling electric cars.
