I recently moved dorms so of course I had to pack up and move my computer, but since Im in this new room, my monitor seems to flicker, and its not the flickering of going to black and then back on but it seems to flicker with whats on the screen. Its like a slight ripple and almost makes me think of a power problem but my power supply has been upgraded just recently and is MORE than what I need.
Ive changed the plugs etc around and no luck. I was curious what could be causing this and how to fix it. TIA and all the best, Jon

Ok refresh rate is and has been at 85 GHZ and its a big box monitor no LCD here but theres no florescent bulbs around.

Ok moved refresh rate down to 75 and it seems to be working ok now, if anyone else has any other ideas please let me know!

It could be either that the refresh rate is too low (set it to a higher standard), that there is electromagnetic devices interferring if it is a CRT (Cathode Ray Tube - larger monitors with large backs) (move it) with it or that it is broken.

Hi. If it's a CRT move it away from any sort of light with a transformer in it. CF lights and fluorescents may cause the ripple. If you have an LCD it should not be affected but magnetic fields.

goto control panel, display, advanced, monitor, and turn up your refresh rate 75-85 if possible. bye bye flicker

Looks like its dying out my friend, might want to get it checked at your local computer store.
