Learning to play an instrument is hard. It requires lots and lots and lots and lots...(get it?) and lots of practice. Hours and hours of it. If you are not thrilled about that aspect of playing an instrument, even the non-boring kind, then get into sports instead. But that wasn't your question....try Clarinet, flute requires a certain shape to your mouth for comfort in playing and your arms are in the air over one shoulder all the time, can't be comfortable...Clarinet or sax...Alto sax. Try one of those. At first, you will practice with the mouth piece only, and you will sound like a rhino being gutted with a plastic spoon, it will annoy your parents to no end...but practice and see where it takes you. Piano may be boring, but it can be a lifelong love affair once you get the hang of it. Reconsider piano too. Good luck.

the flute is good. I would also suggest the clarinet. I played both. they are both my favorites. the flute is nice because you do not have to worry about reeds like on the clarinet. another to think about is the saxophone. that is if you do not mind having to stock up on reeds. I went through a quite a bit when first learning because the strength of the reed needed to be more. but you will learn all that when starting out.

good luck.

The trumpet seams like a nice fit for you. Small and loud. No finger pressure needed and only 3 keys. It takes a short time to learn and a lot of time to master. It is used in many styles of music from fazz to classical to rock and country (not so much country though)

And You can get far fast.

A flute is nice because you don't have to buy reeds, yet you learn all the fingering and can play the reed instruments after you learn them.

A guitar is nice because you can take it wherever you go and people will sing along when you play if you are any good!

i play the flute and the piano. i was gonna suggest piano (cuz it's actually not that bad once u get through the begining stuff. u can buy sheet music of ur favorite songs and learn them.) but don't choose flute, get the picolo (sp?). its smaller. and it's just like the flute, only higher pitched.

Play the clarinet It's a beautiful instrament that I've been playing since gr.5. It's not hard to learn and when you get goodish you can play LOTS of music.

Goodluck with whatever you do =)

what kind of sounds are you attracted to?
i know, it sounds strange, but if you are attracted to more deep, powerful sounds, you should try something like a Tuba, a sax, or maybe a clarinet- they are high and low! if you are attracted to higher sounds, maybe try a flute, piccolo, or oboe.
i play the clarinet!
so , i hope i helped, and have a wonderful music experience!!

If the flute is something you want to learn, then do it. It has to be your decision. It's something you have to like playing.
