love is a strong word, not meant to be thrown around all the time, and if someone says it i expect a lot. obviously not material things but i expect him (or her in a guys case) to love me unconditionally and care about me and all the other mushy gushy stuff that comes with love.

I dont' think of it as a lot but as I grow older it seems to be much more than any man can give. I want:
understanding
trustworthiness
honesty
dependability
respect
Those are my top 5 and number 1 starts at the bottom to the top.
Oh I am a romanticist so I definitely love to cuddle and kiss so I guess that means guys have to get in touch with their feminine side which seems hard to do for most of them.

This is funny, because I just got into a fight with my boyfriend about what I expect from him. I expect for him to respect the way I feel. I expect love, no matter what. I expect honesty. I hope that the person i love, loves me entirely, no matter my imperfections. Reguardless. I'd hope that they would know me inside and out, and understand my outlook on my life enough so that if something will hurt my feelings, they try there hardest to distance themselves from it. I'd hope that the person I love, would love me whole heartedly. No inbetween. And most of all. I expect Respect and Communication. Respect for what I have to say, and enough love for me, to communicate with me and work things out. Hope that answers your question.

Alot way more then she even thinks. We all have expectations in love from the person we love. If expectation even if little are not met then it hurts.

You shouldn’t except anything from someone that loves you, you should just except their love for you and who they are. But define Except for me, that could mean all kinds of things.
A lot problems in relationships these days that couples don’t communicate what they feel or think. We tend to make assumption, find the courage to ask questions and find ways to express what you feel about something or what you really want. This way you can avoid misunderstandings and drama.
