That is often referred to as SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder). Many people get depressed and low during these months of the year. Doctors look to the fact that there are less hours of daylight and the body reacts to the changing balance of the days and nights. Some people actually take anti-depressants for it. Some use light boxes to get more 'sunlight' in their bodies. It is a real phenomena. And some people, maybe like you (and me) just feel a little low and out of sorts. I really hate this time of year too. Mine tends to start sometime in early November and last until about March. So, yeah, I feel like that too. Kinda sad, irritable, and depressed.

It's a decline of the length of the day thing coupled with a lessening intensity of sunlight. This is an "one-two" punch, during this part of the year, the daylight period decreases 2 minutes a day, and the decrease is noteworthy. By the time the decline in daylight ends, the sun has less intensity, so its easier for days to be dark.

Yes and it is called SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder. Get a light box and some Bach Flowers Rescue Remedy.

No! I do feel like that during 2nd semester though. It's just so boring for some reason. I think because the days are longer in the summer and thats why I might like winter because the days are shorter. Don't know though.

Physically, I prefer the fall & winter weather but psychologically it's tough on me. The skies are too often gray during the day and, of course, there's less daylight. Like many people, the lack of light depresses me.

Nope these are my favorite months. I love the cold and the poor weather. I hate sunshine and heat.

It's because school is in, the temp is cooler, it's darker & drearier, and everyone bundles up.
