With the hopes that he could get a World Series ring of his own? He established that 2004 team along with Epstein!

For the SOX sake I hope not. Grady was left over from the previous ownership and was given a chance by the John Henry & co. He made a very bad decision in a very crucile time and that was unacceptable. They opted for a manager of their choosing who plays more by the numbers...and they were 100% right because they won a world series as soon as they got Terry Francona and now there's a good chance he'll deliver them WS championship #2 whithin the week.

Grady Little was not good for the Sox in the end, and would never be considered as an influence on the later 2004 WS championship simply beccause he wasn't there to blow it. Much to the delight of Red Sox Nation, he was fired after he blew the 2003 American League Championship Series.

Grady Little's managerial career with the Red Sox is already ended, and should remain that way permanently.

Terry Francona will have the Red Sox job for several more years. Grady Little will probably have retired by the time that the Red Sox Mgrs. job opens up again.

Grady Little has no choice in the matter...the Sox would never give him a position with the Sox...not even as a hot dog vendor...there would be too much public outrage.

Uh...No...because he didn't establish the team with Epstein...Terry Francona and John Henry established the current team which is about to become a dynasty...

He did that 4 years ago when he left Pedro in a playoff game too long thus ending it for the Sox that year.
