me- an astronaut. Totally inspired by watching Planet of the Apes. (the 1968 original & subsequent tv series. Not the forgettable recent remake)

I remember asking my father which planet the apes lived on & he said Pluto! lol! Of course I believed him! So in 1st grade, it was my mission to get to Pluto....to see the apes. :)

If my dad really watched the movie, he should told me 'earth"!

Kool story Fonz.
I grew up watching Star Trek and I was totally absorbed by the Star Wars Movies. So I wanted to be an astronaut as well. BUT I was also fascinated by the weather and storms.
See when I was eight i literally saw an entire town get wiped off the face of the earth by a tornado during the Xenia Outbreak in 1973 (Oops dated myself didn't I?) I mean literally the entire town. Sunshine KY. Check your Maps, it ain't there no more. And I was fascinated by finding out what made the weather work after that. Now I am a Meteorologist (amongst other things, not My main line of work but it's involved). At least I get to work with things in space (Satellites) even if I will never go there.

At first I wanted to be a vet, but when I was 7 we went to an open-day at the local Vetenary College, and saw a sedated horse {I'd been thinking bunnys, puppys & kittens!}.

After that I decided I wanted to be an author and illustrator ~ and I still do!

Anyway, I'm an Adult, not a Grown-Up
~ Grown-Ups are boring people!

I wanted to be a writer. I use to write stories all the time...stupid stories. If I got mad at someone, I would write a story about how they were sent to bed without supper (or something to the sort)...silly things like that. I would also write what I called a "News Flash" and it'd be a report on whatever big thing had happened in my life.

haha...I still want to be a writer. My "what I wanted to be when I grew up" story isn't as cute as the others. My aunt wanted to be a bunny...sad to say, it didn't happen for her.

That's a cute story :)

As for me, I wanted to be an archaeologist -- or at least be in Indiana Jones' shoes for a day. I blame "Temple of Doom" for that. It was my favorite movie when I was in first grade. Of course, I never went beyond college-level anthropology, so... *shrugs* :) But art and writing were my follow-up choices...glad to say I followed through on those, at least.

A powerful Sorceress...inspired by The Goblin King played by David Bowie in Labyrinth. I told my grandma this and she said I would go to hell.

I wanted to be a farmer (hahahahaha.... so far from my dream now....). When I was living in Texas, our neighbor was a farmer and he use to take me and my sister to his farm which was like an hour away. I use to love riding in his tractor and running through the cornfields and trying to pick the carrots. It was really fun but it's not anything I'll want to do now.

LOL - that's awesome!

I wanted to be a spy, and I think it was all the James Bond movies I watched. And seeing that I work in marketing...well, I'm not even close!
