| think you need to do some basic reading the universe and the world are not the same thing so one cannot replace the other. There is a few billion years yet before the world ends but the universe with still go on. You wait and see and if I am wrong get back to me

Life on Earth will end in 500 million years. The oceans will vaporise around then as the sun gradually heats up.
In 4.5 billion years the sun will expand and possibly swallow the Earth.
Just because the Earth ceases to exist anymore doesnt mean the universe stops. The universe will continue for many billions of years until it finally cools and goes 'quiet'.

If there is enough mass to close the universe you will have to wait well past your bed time. Tens or hundreds of billions of years. However there is a lack of observable or measurable mass, so the universe is probably "open" and it will expand forever. There will be no "big crunch".
If the brane theory is correct and if what I heard happens if branes touch, it WILL happen when the brane we inhabit touches another brane. However that's a lot of ifs.
These are the only mechanisms I've heard of that answer your question in a rational way.

Some time in the very distant future.
The Earth will be swallowed by the Sun as it goes form the main sequence to become a giant red star. Approx 5,000,000,000 years.
Our galaxy will collide with the Andromeda galaxy…. In about 2 billion years…
Hmmm…It looks like the Earth will be destroyed for 2 billion years before the galaxies collide.

I don't want to know but when it ends I will be ending too. I pray GOD to abolish the currency, religion and fill everything with lots of love and care in that new universe.
And I pray that same GOD to give this man (who asked this question) all answers in that new world.
