I guess so. Its certainly true that its the things you just don't see coming at all can really take your metaphorical legs out worse than anything you anticipate and worry about.

The opposite is also true. I never considered cancer because it doesn't 'run' in my family but I ate well cuz heart disease and diabetes were in my family. So I got breast cancer regardless that I ate veggies, fruit and all the good stuff. I think what you are asking is : does worry and fear have a cause and effect on bad outcomes. Worrying about your house catching on fire is a waste of time (unless you live in California right now) Worrying about dying-I mean what can you do to stop it? Worry and fear get you no where fast.

It depends. If you fear flunking a test, then the fear is based upon something very real & failure is an option.
If your fear is baseless, just general, and not related to something which is currently happening then whatever it is probably won't happen.
I learned a long time ago not to worry about anything. I just take things as they are & deal with an issue one day at a time. What will be, will be, whether we worry about it or not.

What's true, actually, is through our fear and worry, we tend to make happen what we fear and worry might happen. But, also true, most fortunately, is that nothing that we ever worry about and fear is ever as bad when it happens as we imagine it might be.

I think fear and worry are negative thoughts that you can turn into possitive becasue you are more alert.
My dad always taught us to be afraid when we went out in dark in case of being snatched or attacked and because of that fear and worry of it made me more alert to what was round me so if anything did happen you could see it and be prepared.

True. People worry about things that statistically have low chances of happening over the ones that has more chances. But the books on "the law of attraction" and "you attract what you think about" might not agree.

Weirdly in reality this is actually true. Our fears are just illusions caused by our subconscious. That's why horror movie's are a hit because the fears actually come to life in movies.

Unless you create a self enforcing delusion. Constantly worrying about falling or hurting yourself causes you to injure yourself.

I believe in fate, and although we create our own destinies to a point, worrying about what will or will not happen won't change anything.
