this one's for all you anal-retentives; how do you feel about a person who lacks compassion and empathy?

Unfortunately there are many people who lack compassion and have zero empathy.
Most of the time I believe they would be described as Sociopaths, either way I would avoid them as much as possible.
Like the proverbial "Bad Apple" most of us have at least one such person in our family and have little choice but to deal with them on occasion. Brevity would be recommended and , protection from there influence upon our children.

They're the best people to be around! You wrote "lacks zero compassion and empathy" meaning they are full of compassion and empathy.

In response to the person preceeding me, literally speaking, you are correct -- that is what he states. But however, I am willing to guess that this person did not intentionally plant a double negative.
People such as that are pathetic, but sometimes those things are triggered by horrific childhood tramaus. In those cases, I pity them somewhat, but for the most part, they are quite amusing.

Unfortunately, my grandfather has very little compassion and empathy for others.I would not say zero though, but it gets VERY frustrating dealing with him.

Well, if they lack zero compassion and empathy, that means they have compassion and empathy...so I guess I am happy with them.

I feel sorry for them and avoid them at all costs. They're usually called sociopaths and are concerned with no one other than themselves.
