Hawaii. Turtle Bay Resort. It's on the North Shore. The rooms have views of the ocean. The beach is clean and water is clear. Turtles were all over when I was there. I didn't even stay at the resort but we went there to swim multiple times because it was so nice. And the drive up there along the East coast is like nothing else you'll ever experience. And if you leave your hotel room there is so much to do. The Polynesian Cultural Center is nearby.

Bit hard to say when we don't know what part of the world you're interested in or your budget and your likes.

If you do a websearch, there is an interesting little place in Bermuda - the cottages are a high-tech kind of tent (don't focus too much on the tent description) on stilts over the water. They have a window cut into the floor so you can watch the fish below. I like Bermuda because it can be laid-back, or more formal. You can hire bikes the cycle the length of it on the old railway.

You could hire a secluded cottage on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Or a quirky little place in Cornwall, England (think Dauphne du Maurier and King Arthur).

There are some lovely inns on Vancouver Island. I like Sooke Harbour House (very laid back - rooms have small wood burning fireplaces and terraces), Bentwood Bay is very stylish in a luxury Zen kind of way. Tofino has lovely little cottages on the water and outdoor hot tubs.

I agree with the person who answered this question before me. Hawaii has got to be the best, the most romantic of honeymoon places!
If you do not live on the West Coast of USA and Hawaii is too far for you, you might want to check out the many nice beaches in Florida. Just don't go during Hurricane season.
Daytona Beach on the East coast of Florida and Sanibel Island on the West Coast of Florida are my two favorite beach places.

I went to Puerto Vallarta for my wedding and honeymooned there as well. The Vallarta Palace, all inclusive resort, you don't have to pay for anything while you are there, drinks, food, it's awesome. They wait on you hand and foot. Cancun also has the Palace Resorts. Hawaii is gorgeous and would be a great destination as well but can be pricey. I would do an all inclusive package...try www.funjet.com very inexpensive and a first class upgrade on the flight is only about $50.00 per person... so worth it!
