It normally takes between 1-2 years from your first period to actually develop your cycle. I started <1 year ago and I can tell you that spotting and being irregular is more normal than not.

Most periods start with spotting than light flow than heavy than light for the last 2-3 days. But don't feel weird it you fluctuate between light and heavy it's ok and just happens to some women like that. Best wishes and hope this helps :)

1. This is very normal. It takes several years for a cycle to normalize. Give it time. Some girls aren't regular until they are in their 20s (and others are never regular). You could always go on birth control if it gets really annoying.

2. This is probably also due to the irregularity. Generally,a period will be heavy the first few days and lighten up. This too will probably normalize over time.

3. This is normal. It happens because of the combination of hormones that is in your body around the time of your period. This happens to me too, and as far as I know, it happens to many other women as well. You might want to try a product like Proactive, it might help.

It is normal, but you should still see a doctor /gyno.
When i first got my period, i didnt get it again for another year. Even after that, i was still only getting it a few times out of the year, every 4 months or so, if that.
My doctor told me that birth control might help to regulate a period. I have yet to try it but , you never know what may work for you.

Some women just have irregular periods. You are normal. I would suggest going to a GYN and getting on some birth control to help to regulate your periods. Hope this helps.
